Shark Tale 1.0 is a software role playing cartoon game program for Xbox, PC CD-Rom, Playstation 3, GameBoy Advance, and Nintendo GameCube players that enables them to take on the persona of the character Oscar the fish who is challenged become a hero depending on how well users play.

Players must explore, race, fight and dance their way through 25 underwater levels that, as the character of Oscar, will throw up certain challenges that they must overcome. The Shark Tale 1.0 game is based on Dreamworks animated movie. Players explore a variety of scenes featuring such places as Reef City, a sunken liner, and underwater hideout, and a Seahorse Track Race.

Players must keep Oscar out of certain dangerous situations and fight off the attention of great white sharks if they are to complete levels and win the game. In the fight scenes featured in Shark Tale 1.0, players learn to use Oscar’s combat fish fu skills to help him to win against opponents with tail slaps, head butts and combo attacks. Players must also outdo Oscar’s enemies by clever gaming tactics to enable him to beat opponents while dodging obstacles such as traffic, and to out maneuver and out talk them. The object of the game for players of Shark Tale 1.0 to beat all the opponents they meet and become the greatest hero of Reef City through skillful use of gaming controls.
